How versatile can Shelves be?

As well as basic shelves in a variety of different styles and sizes we also offer more practical solutions such as a bespoke and chic shelf with hooks underneath. Having a shelf with hocks underneath allows you to both place valuables on the shelving unit but also hang your fabvourite coats after long day out. Dont worry because this functionality does not affect the astetic feel of the shelf!

Wall Shelving FAQs

How do I fill the gap between shelves and walls?

Once you have installed your wall shelves and they are firmly in place you may notice a gap between the shelves and the wall created by the brackets. You can use wood putty to fill the nail holes and any gaps between your mitres. To fill gaps between the wall and shelves try using caulking, it’s easy to use and very hardy so you can enjoy your floating shelves without worry.

How much space should be between shelves?

Floating shelves are a quick and easy way to add a minimalist look to your home, but you may be wondering how much space you should leave between each shelf to get your desired minimalist look, we would recommend as a general rule for spacing to leave around 12 inches between each shelf. If more exposure and accessibility is what you're after you can increase this to 15 to 18 inches.

How deep should my wall shelves be?

A depth of 10 - 12 inches is our recommended depth for wall shelves as this size fits most functions without the concern of dropping in the middle. For example, if you want a floating bookshelf then the depth wouldn’t need to exceed 10 inches, however, if you want floating kitchen shelves 12 inches would be ideal as this is the depth of most cabinets.
