Every style and design

Faux Potted plants and artificial flowers often bring that necessary touch of aliveness to any given space, giving people the comfort of seeing a blend of man-made interiors and nature. It’s always pleasant to have a few beautiful flowers and artificial plants somewhere on the balcony of your home, and maybe a couple of them inside a room or two as well. The trouble is that natural plants can be quite delicate and hard to care for, not to mention that tending to them can be quite messy, at least if you keep them inside. To make things easier but preserve the entire beauty of the potted artificial plants and flowers, we recommend a range of faux house plants to display as decorative items.

Some of the faux flowers and potted plants we offer are almost exquisite works of style, meant to elevate a room’s overall design and vibe to new levels. They are also not too symmetrical or neatly trimmed, so each plant looks as natural as possible. At The Farthing, we believe it would be wrong to call them "fake" plants because you would have to look extremely close to discover that they aren’t actually real plants, but in the meantime, you can enjoy your faux plant in its full decorative effect with none of the messiness and withering which are inevitably associated with real flowers and plants.

How do I care for my faux plant?

Ultimately, the reason why people buy a "fake plant" is so that there is minimal effort in caring for them. Having a faux plant, however, has its own set of challenges. Faux plants can often be sat in the same place for a lengthy period of time which invites dust especially indoors on a coffee table and other furniture pieces. Depending on how delicate your artificial plant is, there are various methods you can utilize to keep your accent flower looking vibrant and alive.

1. Use a Paintbrush

Begin by brushing from the top of your accent plants and working your way down. That way, you won't find that you have missed any bits of greenery above where you have cleaned which will only make the job harder

Using a paintbrush is a good option if you have a more delicate faux plant. This method is for an individual that has a keen eye for details and is happy to spend 15 minutes on a larger plant such as a palm tree or other floor plants. We recommend that this method is best suited for smaller plants like a potted faux plant. In spite of this, this method is almost always the most efficient when it comes to reaching small nooks and crannies.

2. Hairdryer

Before we begin it's important to note that this method is not suitable for a delicate faux flower arrangement. Additionally, if you choose to use this method ensure you have the hair dryer set to the coldest setting to avoid heat damaging the faux or artificial features. The easiest way to remove dust from artificial foliage is to spray each piece with compressed air or a hairdryer (on the coldest setting), depending on the condition.
